Someone slipped and let him talk.
The moron just declared war on about half the world's population. Can you say "jihad", Dubya?
He may have intended to target only a subset of the Islamic world, but what he did was simultaneously target ALL Muslims and then insult them for good measure.
It's really a shame when the President of the United States is a flaming bigot, but there you go.

By suggesting it is redundant, do you really mean that all Muslims are fascists? That is ridiculously ignorant not only of Islam but of fascism.

To answer your question, neither. He was trying to signify a particular type of Muslim, rather than make a statement about Muslims as a whole. It would have been ridiculously stupid of him to do otherwise since he, unlike many people who have answered here, is well aware that there are actually many Muslims in the American military helping in the fight against terrorism.

Implying that all or even most Muslims are terrorists/fascists is as ignorant and hateful as implying that all Christians are child-molesters. You saw those news stories about priests molesting children, right? So surely all Christians must be child-molesters too? With thinking like this around it is truly a wonder the world's religions don't get along better.

Neither. Your question shows your prejudice. Islamo-fascist in a term being used more frequently these days. It is a good, descriptive term for muslims who want to kill innocent people, create terror, and try to force their perverted version of Islam on the rest of the world.
Try listening to radio talk shows and viewing TV talk shows. Try doing a Yahoo! search. I am opposed to Islamo-fascists and I am not being intolerant. They do not have a right to be tolerated.

Bush could not have been "redundant" when he used the term "Islamo-fascist" unless being Islamic and a fascist are the same thing and they are NOT!
IMO, Bush is intolerant about anything that does not concern the wealthy.

Not at all, he was just trying to be clear so that you wouldn't mistake Islamo-fascists with regular fascists, like Bush.

Redundant, like repeating??? I think you may mean something else.

There is one common denominator in 9-11, 7-7, 3-11, and every other terrorist attack on the west, as well as the ethnic cleansing in Africa, and the south Pacific.... Muslims who think the Quran tells them Allah wants them to kill non-Muslims. That is Islamofascism.

a bit of both...

There are well over a billion muslims in the world and only a tiny fraction are defective enough to murder to achieve their ends.

Even so, it is interesting that most terrorists are Muslim. We must remember that this is a loooooooooooong way from saying 'most Muslims are terrorists..

Bush doesn't have good speaking skills and he likes to make up his own words with a new spelling of them.

Its just another easy catch-phrase that they can say over and over and their republican drones can easily chant over and over.

He stole it from Michael Savage anyway.

--edit--

"Fascism is a radical totalitarian political philosophy that combines elements of corporatism, authoritarianism, extreme nationalism, militarism, anti-anarchism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism." Does this sound more like Muslims, or the Bush Crime Family?
