There were many terrorist attacks, but 9/11 was big enough to get people mad enough to strike...What almost just happened with the 9 planes coming in from the UK, the world should be reminded that this isn't over...This is a fight for humanities survival...Keep in mind, "radical terrorists" DO NOT fight by the "rules of civilized warfare", they will use ANY means at hand...Imagine getting into a fight with someone three or four times your size, You are allowed to use any means, any weapon, but your opponent can't hit you anyplace it would actually hurt...Who do you think will win? Nomatter who started anything, nomatter what the cause or if the cause is just or not, nomatter how anyone feels about anything or anyone involved or staying out of it...Support Those In Uniform!!! They are doing what they HAVE to do, not what they WANT to do...Almost all WANT to be home with loved ones & not in some ungodly hot, sandy, nasty place dodging bullets, missles and bombs disguised as people...The WORLD has it's military forces and police forces at home trying to fight terrorists, which is an armed force civilized people don't understand because they don't want to...Ignorance IS NOT bliss!!!

The govt doen't want us to remember why it started, they only want us to know that we have enemies. That way they can keep controlling us through fear and paranoia and spend our taxes for equipment made by defence contractors that are all owned by politicians anyway. I hope your dad will be okay and will come home safe to you soon.

War aginst Afghanistan started to get the terrorists who plotted the twin tower tragedy and pull them from their roots, training camps .. etc (though they were trained and financed by USA!!).
War aginst Iraq ???? ask the president, it seems he is the only one who knows why (maybe not even him)

Remember Sept. 11th??? When those planes hit those towers?? And that other building... oh..let me think.. maybe it was the "pentagon". Then one other plane.. does "lets roll" ring a bell?? Not only you.. but so many people forget about that "ACT OF WAR" on that day

War in Iraq: In 1990 Aug, Saddam Hussein of Iraq, thinking the US wouldn't care invaded Kuwait, in the Spring of 1991 roughly March he got his *ss handed to him on a silver platter by Coalition forces. In order to stop hostilities against Iraq a treaty was signed by the US, UN and Iraq. In the treaty as way for the US/UN forces to stop the war and allow Hussein to remain in power in Iraq. Iraq had to amongst other things:

Recognize the Sovereignity of Kuwait
Return and account for all POW's and items taken from Kuwait
agree to no fly zone over the Northern portion and Southern portion of his country (to protect the Kurds in the North and the Marsh Arabs of the South)
Agree to the unhindered unfettered access of suspected WMD sites by UN personnel
Agree to sell oil and use the money for humanitarian aid for his countrymen only.

Now the cease fire/treaty was signed meaning that in effect Hussein agreed to abide by these terms.

Almost immediately: he began attacking the Kurds with helicopter gunships in violation of the cease fire

Attacked coalition aircraft enforcing the no fly zone over Iraq in violation of the cease fire

Refused to ignore the international borders of Kuwait sending Iraqi military forces across the border numerous times (in response the American military was again ordered into the region NUMEROUS TIMES and sent back home wasting millions in taxpayer money under President Clinton THIS WAS OUR ONLY RESPONSE TO NUMEROUS VIOLATIONS OF THE CEASE FIRE OTHER THAN BOMBING A FEW MISSILE SITES HE USED TO SHOOT AT COALITION AIRCRAFT WITH)

Refused to account for all POW's held by Iraq (both Kuwaiti and Coalition forces)

Refused, denied, stonewalled, and stymied UN personnel from inspecting alleged WMD sites.

Plotted the murder of an ex US President

For years cause our President was more concerned with his interns than international affairs, this was allowed to continue even though just violation of one of the above was reason enough to resume the war, but alas we also stymied and balked at holding him accountable for the cease fire violations, and the UN was so busy lining their pockets with oil smuggled out of Iraq they could have cared less. Finally we elected a President that said enough was enough that the cease fire was no longer in effect due to these violations and resumed hostilities. The American people, due to stupidity and a short attention span believed the cause to be because he had WMD's or as intelligence from numerous countries showed, he had them. Of course now they want to call the president a liar (Hussein didn't have WMD's) when because of their own stupidity they fail to recognize the numerous violations of the cease fire agreement to begin with.

Kinda like Japan surrendering after WWII then reattacking Hawaii instead of just buying it like they did, we would have had every right under international law to resume hostilities with Japan. The same has happened with Iraq, what most fail to realize (again due to American ignorance fostered by the most ignorant of all American liberals) is this is not a new war, but a continuation of the one that began in 1990.
