Blaise Pascal once said, "People almost invariably arrive at their beliefs not on the basis of proof but on the basis of what they find attractive." Are your beliefs based on emotions or logic? Feelings or reasons? Saying that you adhere to logic or reason itself is not good enough, for both theists and atheists have used logic to their advantage.

My beliefs are based on a combination of reason, logic, and feelings. I have put together my own beliefs from what I like and what makes sense to me, so I guess Pascal has me partly correct, lol. I think most people ultimately believe what makes the most sense to them, whatever that may be. Great question!

I believe what I do mainly from experience, not emotional highs that go with being from having been around a charismatic christian group of people. Fact is I have been around people from most of the major faiths and have attended services with them and have shown interest in their belief systems. I don't get involved in comparing religions. I am absolutely disinterested in being "converted" to someone elses ideology. I prefer to have my own unique relationship with God, which truly is personal and not have my "beliefs" if you will, come in to question. I believe in the Golden Rule and in trying to care for the planet I was put on this earth to tend. Many of my brethren, I can honestly say, are not interested in the same tasks. Moving on, I have found in my journey that just about all religions have the same basic thread of belief. That is good enough for me. I wish you well on your journey. Prayer really does work, if for nothing else peace within. Sincerely; Nana

I believe what i believe because i believe. I feel like i was born with what i believe in. Its like my mind was already made up long befor i could comprehend anything. Emotions and logic both play a big factor in personal beliefs but it all comes down to that you are born with a brain. You just devlope it more as we get older.

My beliefs are based around what is good for the planet. So yes, I'm more likely to believe something if it is beneficial to the environment, ecology and people.

I think people say things are more logical so it will sound better than something else, I don't really think there is any sort of religion you can believe that is really logical.

I believe in GOD because I grew up that way but not only that GOD has been there and worked so many miracles in my life. He has changed me for the better. GOD is all knowing and ever moving He's powerful and I choose to serve him. Do you if not you should He's coming back and it will pay off big if you do.

Yes, fear is very attractive. It turns men of science into 'born again Christian's' on their death bed. It also turns ordinary human beings into pilot martyrs. I believe what i observe.
