It was an advertising slogan in the 70s, where peace and love reigned. It was part of their plan to have everyone with a Coke in their hand and a smile on their face so that when other people saw them, they would think "Wow! That person has a smile on their face! I wonder why! Maybe it's because they have a Coke in their hand! I should get a Coke too!" The gimmicks people come up with just to sell some carbonated sugar water.
