those were the first objectives for the two sides; as you know Israel has changed her objectives five times at least where hizb Allah remained the first objectives until now.

As usual,I like to comment - indirectly - on some of the answers to this question,before I say what I have in mind.
Lets begin with the reason why this whole fiasco started in the first place.To many people
"Hezbollah" is the guilty party,for killing and kidnapping 2 Israeli soldiers. OK fine,but no one thinks that this operaion comes merely as a retaliation against what Israel have done ??
Or maybe the Lebanese prisoners in Israel are not " humans " ? and they don't have families like the Israeli ones ??
That is why "Hezbollah" did that, but what was Israel's reaction ?
Mr. Olmert said : "because we are not facing a (Regular) army, Lebanon will have to pay the price !!!
Now tell me people : Is that fair ???

They most definitely did not win this war. Israel has Southern Lebanon in its control. It has also shown that they are not afriad to go into Lebanon at a moments notice to knock heads around. This incident is far from over even after they cease fire on monday. Israel hasn't won, but neither has Hezbollah.

I love the way some people call terrorists "freedom fighters". And how these people call themselves an army when 1. they wont put on a uniform unless they are wearing balaclavas or have thier face blackened out in FEAR of getting captured. 2. to classify urself as an army you have to wear a uniform NOT civilian clothing like all these terrorist organisations wear. No! Sirael did not win the war. Instead it loss the war. Since Israel failed to stop Hez. Guerrillas from firing their rockets, reaponding to heavy gunfire, it cannot be claimed that the war is worn from the side of israel. If this has to be said, it is Hezbollah that won the war on Israel. Hezbollah show no sign of weakness/retreat/surrender since from the begining up to now.
