The more fruit in Ice cream the harder it is to freeze. The temerature that ice cream freezes is not as low as that which cherries would freeze due to the concentrated fruit juices in the cherries.

I do belive so They soak the cherries in salt water (salt water dosent freeze) the cherries mix and loose the salty taste... thus doing what ur saying

actually all of these people don't know what they're talking about.Those are maraschino cherries and they do not freeze, or maybe they do but not in a normal freezer. I put a whole jar in the freezer and they just got colder. Kind of like liquor, i guess.
