It may be possible if you are in a coma with negative brain waves

Everyone sins, but I suppose if you were to sit in a cave for a year this would be a period free from sin, but wait we can not isolate ourselves from the world because it would probably be a sin to live in the cave and have people bring you food to eat if you are able to work .... maybe if you sleep all day
Just repent and ask forgiveness very often for those sins you commit, even the ones you aren't aware of. God is merciful!

There are internal and external sins. Is it possible to go a day without physically stealing something. But much harder to go a day with out jealousy, selfish desire, wanting things that others have, Jer 17: 9 "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" When you count the thoughts and desires as sin it becomes much harder to say that it is possible to not sin. Sinful thoughts include lust, hate, greed, selfishness and the list goes on.

We all sin and fall short of the glory of God....all the time, probably every day.

That's why we all needed a saviour like Jesus -- who came here to earth, lioved as a man, and then died on the cross for our sinfulness.

The specific sin is not the issue -- like I did this or didn't do that. We were all born into sin -- so we carry with us a sinful nature that we inherited from Adam and Eve when they sinned in the Garden of Eden.

Jesus saved us from our sin.

It is possible for one day, still possbble for one week, month or year. The devil is the causes of all our sinning. The scripture says, "Rebuke the devil and he will flee from you"

Temptation is temptation, and it is not a sin, once you yield to it, it becomes sin. Joshua 1:8 is an advice to christian to avoid sins. The Lord says "Watch and Pray and keep busy" that we may not enter into temptation.

Perfection is one of the requirement of God, as Jesus says, "BE ye therefore perfect for even your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (perpection in obedience so to speak)

My understanding of it is that you can look at the word "sin" in two ways. One is the verb form, to sin, or to commit an act of sinning (such as breaking one of the 10 Commandments, for example.) You can probably go for awhile without committing a sin in that way. But there's also the original sin that is inside all of us. That isn't conscious, it's there when we're born. If we confess and repent of that sin, we will be forgiven of it, but it is a part of us all.

I guess if you were under the age of 8 - as I believe the Atonement of Jesus Christ covers young children, and babies are innocent. Or if you were in a coma. Or in a physical or mental state where you were not aware of what you were doing - which is open for debate in most cases. For the rest of us who don't fall in that category - the only thing I could think of to accomplish a "sinless" state is to ask what God's will was for you each and every day and then go out of your way to accomplish it no matter what happened. I don't know if any of us can ever do that in mortality, however, but there are some awesome children of God all around us.

Yes, however It might take a "holy war" to put to death the flesh for that long. That is actually the right use of the word "holy war" or "jihad" . I learned today that most modern Muslims do not mean a war of terrorism when they use the word "jihad" . It may mean many things: a war against ones own bad habits. . . a war against poverty and /or hunger and etc. It would be good if we Christians would look at our own sins and declare a holy war instead of criticizing others. In my past I have had a "holy war" against many sins and I become more and more of a warrior in this regard. God's words tell us that we can be "more than conquerors through Jesus Christ who loves us and gave His life for us."
Peace and Love,
Cathy

Sure. Christ managed it for 33 years. Or so you ought to believe if you are a good Christian. And if you are Catholic, you probably include Mary in the VERY short list of people who lived their entire lives without a single sin. Many people believe saints live much of their life without sin, but most of them are repentant sinners. Many people also believe that infant children are without sin for the early portions of their life... days and even months. As for me... I rarely make it for 30 seconds, but I am the first among all sinners.

I don't believe it is. We might even think some evil thought of committing a sin and that is when we repent and ask for forgiveness and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to protect us from those thoughts. That will help to keep us pure.
