It could be irratable bowel syndrome. Take her to a few different doctors so you can get plenty of opinions. She may have intestines and body parts that are extremely sensitive to certain kinds of foods. If it looks like "acid poop" like you're calling it then look up foods on the internet that have high acid in them and keep her away from those until you can get different opinions from different doctors. Good luck and I hope you figure out what's wrong so she's not so uncomfortable all the time :)

The only thing you can do is drastically change her diet. Don't give her ANY dairy products. No yogurt, cheese, milk, ice cream, none of that. Give her lots of fruit for snack that helps the bowels move: kiwi (but make sure she is not allergic, but it should be okay) grapes, make her cookies with added wheat germ (it is fiber and also will help her bowels move) give her apple juice, raisins, (prunes if you can get her to eat them-try getting the dried ones, cut them into little pieces and add them into her corn flakes, LIFE cereal (or maybe Wheaties) in the morning.
Instead of doritoes or other chips etc give her sun chips.
She is going to miss icecream and milk, things like that-SILK makes a great vanilla soy milk product that kids will like, you can give her popcicles and sherbet instead of milk based ice cream.
Don't let her slip up. I had a baby girl who had the same issue and it was painful just to watch her try to poop. Don't slip up and feed her pizza unless you are prepared to watch her suffer. Order pizza with no cheese, she will grow to like it until she grows out of this constipation problem, which she should by age 3. Kids that age LOVE to be 'special' and will enforce the diet on their own. They will remind their teachers they cant have milk or cheese-you would be surprised.
Just keep giving her foods that have a mild laxative effect until her body adjusts. Good luck, I'm sorry she is going through this.
You can also give her a baby laxative. I think it's called tiny tummies or something like that. They have it at Target, Walmart & Walgreens.

Sounds like she may be lactose intolerant or possibly have some other problem with digestion. Or she drinks too much milk.
There is nothing wrong with getting a second opinion. My daughter was constipated for weeks as a newborn and her ped tried everything under the sun to get her to go.
Went to a new ped for a second opinion, first thing out of her mouth was "How much milk do you drink a day?" (I was breastfeeding). As soon as I stopped drinking so much, she went like clockwork.
A new perspective can help, so try a second opinion.

Oh, that is soo not normal. Immediately find another doctor. And start food journal (today!!) it will help you and the NEW doctor figure out much faster what is going on. One thing for sure - you don't wanna delay finding out the problem any longer ( I personally have Crohn's), belive me, those are painfull problems, especially for little kid and if there's something more serious than let's say food alergy, she needs to be treated right away!
P.S. In the meantime, keep her on soft diet - lots of jellylike foodz, no raw vegetables, peel the fruit, stay away from white bread and nuts, anything that maybe harsh on her intestines...

My son has had constipation issues but not as badly as your daughter. What seems to work the best for him is giving him a teaspoon of Mineral Oil in a cup of fruit punch once a day. It helps keep everything hydrated. He has not had the painful bowel movements since I started this. You may want to talk to a dr first to make sure there isn't any GI issues going on and to make sure it is ok to give her the Mineral Oil. My dr's office said that it was perfectly fine, but all drs are different.
Good luck with this. It is extremely painful as a parent to see your child go through this...I know.

Drinking enough water? Fruits and Fibre? I have real battle with my middle child now 8.......he is so stubborn....we usually end up with a magic orange drink.....! Metamucill mixed with Sprite....does the trick the following day...know its not the answer long term but gets us through the histerics of constipation and pain. The cheese sounds like an issue...more than likely a possible lactose intolarant issue? Check that out. Cut out as much dairy as possible in the interim...and see what happens.... get as much fibre in as possible...and water all the time, with occasional juice. What about raisins...one little packet a day will help get things moving.....! My kids were eating carnation breakfast shakes most morning....mixed with ice cream.....and milk.....Id sneak in some 'Udos Oil'....the perfect combination of oils that our body needs.....tastes bad though...so you need to 'hide' it when it comes to kids. Problem with that suggestion is all the dairy.... Poor thing....my son is in agony when he gets constipated...only he is soooooooooooo stubborn...he'll smarten up one day when he sees the pattern of needing to eat certain foods in order to go to the washroom without pain..in the mean time....I do what I can do. Ask the doctors to do a poop analysis............ see whats going on.... Good luck and God Bless..... L.Butler
Things dont improve with your doctor..change him/her or better still take baby to a naturopath...and for some chiropractic adjustments.....that would totally help you out....

i doubt it was the cheese... probably the pizza sauce... what other kinds of foods is she eating? have you noticed a pattern with what she eats to when she has these potty episodes?
if it was the cheese then all dairy products would cause the same reaction....
is she actually constipated (hard dry poop) or is the the opposite? how often does she go ? alot of kids grunt and push when they poop, and you might think they are constipated when they really arent... kids dont know to relax while going potty.. they learn that later...

You know what really works well? Either prune juice or the prune baby food. Old people use this for the same thing. My daughter gets constipated easily and it always makes it come out easy and fast. The prunes taste good too!

Change you doctor! It sounds like yours isn't very child friendly, and won't take the time to treat your daughter. Make a formal complaint.
Avoid the foods you know trigger it off as you were doing with her diet, and follow your own instincts.
