Jim W, God would be sacrificing the lives of innocent children to teach us moral lessons. What have the ramifications of liberalized abortion been?

I am a scientist, I believe in evolution and I find it impossible not to believe in God. Without intelligence there could not be any form to existence. Beyond belief in God, I admit the concept is totally beyond the comprehension of my puny human mind.

There is nothing precious about life.
I read a news story today about a stranded manatee baby in Barbados or somewhere in the the Carribean. Anyway, it cost $15,000 to fly a medical chopper down to rescue the thing and bring it to Miami. And the idiots were happy to do it.
Thousands of homeless people dying in the streets of Miami, and they piss away 15 grand to save a freaking sea animal. Now you tell me how precious life is.

God does not hold life precious because in all liklihood, god or some other supernatural being does not exist. Life only has the value that humans place on it in terms of ACTIONS, not words. Look around the world: apparently we, as a species, don't value life very much at all.
