no, like I've said before in Miami everybody has an accent, and I like it that way, so I don't stand out...no one even takes any notice about any accents...the first thing I wanted to do was learn Spanish, I mean where else can U learn so fast a language and use too. When I go to Sedanos, DonPan or any other Spanish store, the ppl just love me for it, that I actually took the time to learn there language, they treat me like family....and if I ever have a flat tire on the road...guess who helps me change it...a Spanish guy will stop and help me...I eat Spanish food, I drink Materva and I love the Spanish magazines...

Only if it keeps them from making their own way in society. You need standard English to conduct your daily business and legal affairs. That doesn't mean that you can't do it with a slight accent.
An unwillingness to grow in the native language would be just as frowned upon in Mexico as it is here. If you are not a tourist, do not blame me if I cannot serve you or help you when your English sucks. It's your fault.
I wonder if there is the same "PC" outrage to people who live in Mexico and speak Spanish poorly? Is there a national program to accommodate them?

No I do not. I don't have problem with asian or other accents either. I think people who do just aren't trying very hard. Some people hear the accent and focus on the accent rather than trying to understand the person.
