They only blindly repeat bible parables and revelations. They build up on that with anything that might be related and draw conclusions out of authority, not demonstrability. For you that go to church, ask tricky questions to the priest: Here are some examples:
Where did Christ spend his adolescence?
Why are several aspects of the bible copied on previous myths? (ask google for which)
Was Barabbas a terrorist (an Essene agent)? Not a thief?
On which grounds were discarded the Dead Sea Scrolls (archeological find)?
Why do stigmatas appear on/in the hands when the Romans crucified people through the wrists or only bound the arms to the poles? (the crucifixion through the hands cannot hold the body without tearing the flesh)
Why are there so many contradictions of the same theme in the Bible? (again check the internet)
Why are there so many prejudice against the other tribes in the Bible?
Why does the bible recognize slavery in many cases?

Christian History is very vague at best (I say Christian not referring to catholic). Catholics claim an un-broken link between the church to day and the church of Christ, whereas Christians can only dream of making such a claim.
The Truth is, Roman Catholics corrupted the church and Gospel that Christ set up. And Christianity as we see it today... started as an offshoot of that corrupt catholic distortion of what Christ taught. The "Born-Again Christianity" as I like to call it, where it is based off the bible and it's teachings, had no divine inspiration, and relies souly on the thoughts of man and interpretation of the holy scripture (which in it of itself has been corrupted over the centuries).
To have the True church of Christ you must have open communication with the deity himself. That's how it has always been recorded in the bible, and that's how it needs to operate today. No amount of scripture can make up for the loss of a prophet who speaks with god and directs his people today. Moses wrote 5 of the most important books we have in our possession today, yet after he passed, there was yet still a need for more prophets... That fact remains today, the bible is invaluable, and deserves the respect as the greatest record in existence. But to say the Bible can replace a prophet called of God, is A. unbiblical, and B. a very dim statement.
The Bible itself does not give a full account of God's dealings with the people of the earth. God stated that any words that he should speak, should be written and pondered. What of the words spoken the lost 10 tribes? What of the scattered people at Bable? Where are these records located, and how have we forgotten them already?
“Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).
When Christ ascended, he left an established church, with Peter as the head and 12 other apostles. The apostolistic era was in full effect and was intended to never leave. But through the wickedness that inevitably prevailed, all the apostles were killed. Thus closing the line of communication with God...
If you want a true church of Christ today... There much be a "Restitution of all things." There must be open communication with the lord and his people. There must be divine interpretation of scripture to end the confusion, and make one folk and one Shepard.

I am not catholic or orthodox or Coptic or Church of England, I don't know any priests, but ministers in my church do talk about the early Christian church, and the middle ages.
Asking if Barabbas was a terrorist is just moronic. Essenes were one of four main sociopolitical groups in Jewish population at that time. Who cares, stupid question.
I don't care a lick about stigmata, but if you were standing on a wooden peg and your wrists were tied to the crossbeam, certainly your weight would be supported and allow someone to hammer spikes through your hands, are you saying you are an expert at the Roman form of torture known as crucifixion?
Why don't you read the bible and show me these contradictions that are so apparent? If you saw it on the Internet it must be true?
Does the Bible recognize slavery? It acknowledges that it existed, and nowhere does it condone slavery. But I know you are not stupid or ignorant enough to seriously try and compare slavery from biblical times, to the more recent form of slavery started by Dutch traders, that led to slavery in America, certainly you know that is comparing apples to oranges?
Or maybe you are just that dumb, hard to tell these days.

Well our priest's always talked about history but not in the middle of the church service. They would talk about it during bible class etc. I do know that they are given a whole bunch of education on counseling, psychology, hebrew, greek, and latin so I don't know how much time they spend on church history in their eight years of education.
There are good books that address the topics you mentioned from believing Christians. If you are interested here are a few titles.
"The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel and "In the Fullness of Time" by Paul Maier. They are both usually available in most public libraries or through inter-library loan if you do not wish to "finance" the authors by purchasing their books. Lee Strobel was a mainstream atheist journalist before he decided to debunk the whole "Christ" thing. Paul Maier is a professor of Ancient History and expert in ancient languages at Eastern Michigan University. He has also had training as a pastor. (I don't know which came first!)

No. lots of the Founding Fathers have been Deists, not Christians. Deists have faith that an more suitable ability created the universe, then stepped away. In different words, there are actually not any rules surpassed out with the aid of the superb being, and there is no Bible. Deism is a some distance cry from Christianity. the hot international replaced into all approximately non secular freedom, meaning there is no respected faith. era.

Send me your email and I will answer these questions for you, that is if you are interested in getting the answers. Maybe you already know them. But as far Christian History is concerned, the Priests may either not know the Christian History or they may have been mandated not to share the Christian History. Either way, I think you right that Priests should educate their parishioners on these issues.

Good question!
And think about these:
Jews for Jesus = Vegetarians for Hamburgers
God? He or She?
Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?
What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?
Does Imacculate Conception = "VIRGIN BIRTH"?
Google Imacculate Conception and learn something.
What else do you falsely believe, Immaculate Deception?
Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Can Gods die?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?
No Eternal sacrifice, big deal for a day!
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!
Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.
If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?
If you believe this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to believe it too to validate you.
Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.
Believing and not thinking is like choosing a mental illness and becoming truly lost.
