My friend Nancy was going out of town last weekend and needed me to baby-sit her Chu wa wa. (forgive spelling). His name was Ernie. She left dog food and instructions at my apartment. Well Ernie was an annoying little dog- and one day I was trying to eat my half gallon of Edy's Strawberry Ice cream, and the dog kept jumping on my lap. So I hit it- and it yelped and fall over. I mean it was annoying me. I finally decided Ernie was hungry so I decided to feed him when I was done eating the ice cream. A half hour later Im done, but I realize I have nothing to eat- like I had no more food left and no money- my parents were out of town. So I decided to feed Ernie after I had eaten some of the dog food- because Im more important then a stupid dog. Three days went by and I had finally polished off the dog food- I did make sure to let Ernie get plenty of water and told myself Nancy would be back in time to feed him. But I found him dead the fourth day. I explained to Nancy and she's mad at me.

I am NOT Making this up- so please only comment if you can help me. I explained to Nancy I had run out of money and had to eat the dog food. Nancy was furious, claiming I starved Ernie to death. But see I didnt realize I would run out of food- I just have bad money habits. Nancy refuses to talk to me and I dont know what to do! I mean come on- the dog food was actually good! It had beef in it.

It's not up to anyone else to tell your friend how to forgive you, personally, I would never forgive you, but what I can tell YOU is that you need to be more responsible. Get your @ss a job and buy some food. If you're old enough for your parents to leave you alone then you're old enough to have a babysitting job (although I'd hate to see how you treat the kids if you beat and starve a dog!) or a paper route or something. Maybe you could have asked a neighbor for help? And I find it very hard to believe that your parents would leave you alone for that long with just a half gallon of ice cream to eat and no money. Maybe your parents should be reported for neglect. Or maybe you have some serious food issues if you ate a week's worth of food in a couple of days (including a half gallon of ice cream that would last most people at least a couple of weeks!) and then found it necessary to actually eat DOG food. Either way, I think you've got some serious issues that you need help with before you become a true menace to society. A well-adjusted and sane person would never have acted as you did-and then expect their friend to forgive them for killing their dog.
And is it just me or are people missing the point here? This girl is not well-she is not sane! For God's sake! Are there that many fruity people out there that they think this is okay and that just buying a new dog will make everything better?! Get a grip!!!

I cannot believe what I just read. You must be the most irresponsible person I have come across, not to mention mean & selfish. Your friend left you in charge of her pet and instead of taking care of it, like you said you would, you starved it and killed it. How old are you anyhow? If I were your friend I would never speak to you again. I would probably bring up criminal charges against you for animal cruelty, and you would definitely have a beating coming. There is no way in hell that I would or could ever forgive you for what you have done.

If you are really serious about this question you need psychiatric or social welfare help.
Your friend entrusted you with the care of her dog, and food to boot. You could have gone a few days without food especially after all that ice cream, more than some dumb little dog, even if you didn't like him. Chihuahuas (hey, they have spell check here) are not my favorite dog, but you didn't "accidentally" kill him. You grossly neglected and murdered him.
Get help kiddo! If you'd been MY friend I would never talk to you again! And in fact, I'd probably sue you.

nancy has every right to be mad at you. she put her faith and trust in you and you put yourself first instead of the animal that she thought you would take care of. she is a better friend to you than you were to her.
i don't know if "nancy" has any children, but if not i'm sure her dog was just as important to her as a child. i don't have any children myself but i do have 15 "kids" that are just like my children.

i don't consider myself "more important" than they are. they get the best of care EVERY DAY.
you have a very selfish attitude for something that was so important in your friends life.i had to have my 1st horse put down 3 yrs ago and 1 of my dogs put down the day after thanksgiving 2 yrs ago and i still shed a tear for the loss of both of them to this day (i'm 47 now).

You did the wrong thing, she trusted you to look after her dog and provided you with what it needed, why didn't you go to a soup kitchen instead of eating the poor Ernie's food?
She shouldn't forgive you. Next time, don't buy a bucket of icecream, get some vegetables.

Honestly is this really serious? I would be upset at you to and wonder if you were sane or not. Why she even trusted her dog to you in the first place is beyond me. Interesting how you were eating ice cream or something before and then ate some dog food. LOL

I think u need to look at this situatoin from your "friends" perspective. Friends just don't do things like that...It was extreme animal cruelty and what u did devalued the friendship...Give your "friend" some time...and grow up it wasn't anyones resposibility to keep u fed, And it's called "DOG FOOD" for a reason.
