Your question assumes that "we are supposed to only have one god." Says who? Was it something you read in a book? I, for one, do not see any point in having any organized religion at all. Religion is the greatest threat to humanity at this time because it is blocking people from intelligently deciding what must be done if humanity is to survive the coming century.

It's not just about what god or how many people believe in, but also what they need to get into their "after life".

The reason for all the different religions is that Satan has been VERY busy. He(Satan) has caused a lot of misbelief and hatred among many people. It has caused confusion and seperation through out time.

There is one God, but there are about 10,000 religions globally. I'm sure one is the right one, and maybe a group of them are.

Can you prove which one is right? You cannot for they are all faith based.

Who said we were only supposed to have one god. Furthermore, if we did have only one god, how can we say that one is true and right versus another one?

On Earth, there are many non-believers and many believers.

Among the believers, there are many monotheists and many polytheists.

Monotheists believe in only one deity, named according to their beliefs.

Every monotheistic believer believes there is only one god/deity.

Every polytheistic believer believes there are several gods/deities.

---

Remember there aren't only monotheists on Earth: there are also many non-believers and many polytheists.
