...This is my major problem with fundamentalist theists and atheists alike. There is no way that anyone who has ever lived can know the truth. Some say they know because of the Bible, or some say they know because of the lack of God in everyday life. Either way these arguments are just foolish. There is just no way to know anything outside of our universe. So can we all just call ourselves agnostic (the word literally means one who knows nothing) and focus on making the actual reality we live in a little better?!?

I'm for it... but agnosticism is a little too much on the light-weight side for me. I give myself credit for knowing enough to at least reject the reality of deities as truth harboring. I'm happier to think of myself as an atheist and it's a much more comfortable position than sitting on the fence.

I agree with your statement about the universe... this is where the truth is harbored. It is vast and infinite. It has always been and it alone will always be... ever-changing... dynamic. It was neither created nor can it ever be destroyed.... It is matter and energy... real stuff. It exists and we exist as parts within it. See it for yourself.

There can only be one Creator, one heavenly kingdon and one Savior Jesus Christ(annointed One). It's not like any human made up this Truth the Words in the Bible are God-inspired. It's strange that some are willing to believe in the imagination of us creatures and shun the given ways of the Creator. It's a Spiritual concept as well as overcoming temptation in this world. Yes, it's a sacrifice of self-will but it promises eternal bliss. If possible read INTRA MUROS a picture of heaven.

I'm certainly not a fundamentalist, but I decided to try to answer your question anyway. You are right when you say that people of the world are agnostics (ones who know nothing). We dwell in a world of illusion and delusion, a world of "no knowledge."

However, knowledge was recorded in a material form that is known to us as sacred scriptures. But the trouble with that is that no one can recognize the Truth in those scriptures if relying only upon one's own feeble and inadequate intellect. The Truth must be given or shown to you by the Spirit of God who is the author of those words of Knowledge. Without that help, it is not possible for us to see the Truth because it is the nature of this world to prevent us from seeing.

I don't like the name you called us Christians, but we know God by reading His word. There are 66 books in the bible and after you read them, you get a pretty good idea about what God is like. If you want something more up to date just read the New Testament which has 27 books in it.

No, we cannot all call ourselves agnostic as I know God exists because I exist. God has created all of us, there's just some who don't care to acknowledge the facts. I am 100% sure of the existence of God

If you really want to know what God is like I dear you to read John in
the Bible and really look hard at Jesus.Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one. Jesus is a mirror image of God.What Jesus does God does.

An agnostic is a fence sitter who says I don't know and I don't care to know. Fundies (as myself) believes what God had revealed of himself to mankind. It had always been a question of man wondering who God is so God became a man and walked on this earth so that man could no longer wonder who God is.

When you step into faith in God/Jesus, and accept the Holy Spirit, truth is gradually revealed to you as a believer. It is difficult for non-believers to believe because they rarely step into the faith they need in order to get "revelation".....God has revealed Truth to those who love Him and trust Him. The closer you live to Him and the longer, the more Truth's are revealed...and the stronger your faith becomes.
