I doubt a actual medical doctor will answer here, and if so, how would you know the person is a medicl doctor?

My son has had Herpes simplex 1 since he was 15 months old. He used to get cold sores very regularly but the older he has got the less he has had. There are things you can do to avoid them. The best thing we have found is the regular use of sunscreen on the lips, it is like a miracle cure! He will always have the virus in the nerves around his lips but he hasn't had a cold sore in 2 or 3 years now because of the sunscreen. We also found that regular applicaton of Hydrogen Peroxide followed by a topical antibiotic cream caused the sores to dry up and heal quickly without irritation and secondary infections. They do make anti-viral creams you can put on your lips to treat the oncoming outbreak when you start to get that tingly feeling. Just ask your doctor.

Im not a doctor but the simple answer is no. However you can take preventative measures to reduce further outbreaks.
Firstly healthy diet will keep your immune system strong making outbreaks less common.
Secondly limit your time in the sun as this can be a trigger and if you are out in the sun use suncream no lower than factor 15.
Also reducing stress if you can. Exercise, cutting down on alcohol and smoking and other triggers may help.
If you are getting very frequent outbreaks you doctor can help out but otherwise there is very little you can do.
Hope this has been useful.

Hey, man, don't hurt me!
It's little ol' me herpes
Closer than your best friend
I'll stay with you till the end.
That's according to Chappelle's Show (I may have messed up the lyrics.) You'll always have herpes. You may not have any more outbreaks, but that doesn't mean you're not contagious. And contagious can mean you can spread herpes to mouths *or* genitals--gross, but true. They're slightly different viruses, but they go anywhere.
An outbreak can pop up any ol' time, but usually due to heat, cold, stress, or sunlight. So avoid all of them and wear good sunscreen--a lip balm with SPF 15 or higher. But hey, at least 80% of the world's population has it! Wheeee! Herpes for everybody! Just don't kiss or do any sexual acts with your mouth while you have an outbreak and if you need meds, take them as directed. It's not nothing, but it's not necessarily a big deal.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/herpestreatments2o15QHMW
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Herpes Simples is an STD and it is forever. YOu can get Herpes by kissing someone whom has it or by giving oral sex without protection to someone that has it.
The breakouts, though, get less symtomatic as more time passess. Many people think that they are cured from Herpes just because they have not gotten a breakout in years. The truth is that they could be breaking out and not even know it.
You can last years without breakout but you will still have it and you can STILL infect someone with it!
There is a herpes though, that EVERYONE on EARTH has. This is when you get a cold sore, when you have the flu and you've had it for weeks and all the sudden this cold sore appears ...That form is not an STD...

I'm not a Dr. but I have herpes and there is no cure for them.
I find that stress causes outbreaks, so just try and maintain a stress free life and you may not have many outbreaks.
I think I've only had 2 outbreaks in the last 20 yrs.

Oral herpes is an infection caused by the herpes simplex virus. The virus causes painful sores on your lips, gums, tongue, roof of your mouth, and inside your cheeks. It also can cause symptoms such as fever and muscle aches.
Recurrence: When you encounter certain stresses, emotional or physical, the virus may reactivate and cause new sores and symptoms. yes you will allways have outbreaks.
