looking for something other than outlook that is easy and cheap to use

yahoo, hotmail...there's a bunch that are web based and easy to use..and pretty much free...

I have yahoo email, but also outlook express is my main email. I can do a lot more with it, sometimes I add a lot of graphics or music to my emails and changing backgrounds or fonts are very easy....I rate outlook express the best I have come by, and if you have good protection it filters all the spam to another folder as well.

Outlook is not an email service provider like yahoo, hotmail, gmail. Outlook is an email client which downloads your emails from yahoo/gmail like service providers. So as per you question goes I think you are looking for some good and free/cheap email client. I heard about Eudora/Peagusus mail etc. You should check them before taking andy final decision.

It sifts thru spam a LOT LOT better than Hotmail.
Hotmail can be very irritating. For example, spam shows up in Inbox with your contacts' email. You look at a contact's email and delete it, then Hotmail brings up the next email even if it's spam!
You have to click Back To Inbox to keep this from happening, then continue to other msgs.
Sorry this is a long essay, but I am p*ssed at Hotmail because of this feature. Now I use Hotmail only for sites I don't intend to have longterm relationships with.
GMail is great, I haven't had ANY problem with it.

myway.com is a free and easy to get signed up, unlike the horror of hotmail, can change fonts and has emoticons.Has all kinds of different stationary to use. Have outlook express and think myway.com is very good if you like all the other free safe features outlook express doesn't offer.
