I like it. I don't like traditional names, we have a daughter called Angel, and if I have another girl, we're calling her Amyrinth Star, just gotta work out the spelling.
This is your baby. Call her what you want to, my family didn't like the name Angel at first, but they have come round to it now.
Good luck with birth and beyond- being a mommy is wonderful!

Azaria is pretty, but it may be a little hard to pronounce. I have a really hard-to-pronounce last name, and it's driven me so crazy that I think I may get it changed.

Also, perhaps it isn't so important for it to be a name that everybody in your family likes? If it's a name you like, go for it. The thing with names is that sometimes they feel strange at first, but after a while, you get used to it and forget that it ever might have seemed strange.

Its really unique. But I totally think the A in Azaria sounds like a medicine, try something like Lazaria it sounds more like a name than a product.

who cares if people say it sounds like or is a last name there are a lot of parents giving their children names that also could be consider a last name such as taylor....anyways i think that azaria is a very pretty name and if that's what YOU want to name your baby then do it don't let anyone else's negative opinions on it change your mind....congrats on your baby girl and i wish you the best.

Azaria is a fine last name: think of the actor, Hank Azaria. Otherwise, it's one of those names, much like Indigo, Moon Star, Queztacoatl, or...gulp...Tru Lova, that you will only give a kid if you plan on teaching them how to fight for their lives early.

I'm sure Hank the actor likes it as a surname. Come on, you can do it - Nathan, Mark, Ethan, Charlie, Luke, Murray, Caleb, George, - Christine, Leah, Hannah, Jane, Sophia, Vanessa, Marcie, Anna - good luck!

Sounds like a pretty name to me. As long as you are having a girl, that is.

Congrats!

Why would you want to stick a child with a name like that?
