My brothers are mean to me, i'm 6, and they are always pushing me. There are three of them, 10, 8, and 5.
What can I do to make them stop picking on me?

I'm the mom asking for my daughter, she just wanted to ask a question and since she isn't old enough to be on this site, I told her I would ask for her.

I have 5 yes 5 brothers and i was the only girl.I don't think there is a way to make them stop, but if they know something bothers you they are going to keep doing it.I grew long fingernails.....lol..If they all ganged up on me I had protection...lol.Just wait till your ready to date!!!! I know your young, but when the time comes and that first boy comes over.......well the "boys"(that's what I call my bros.) better like him.♥

Just do what my dad did. I am a middle child with an older and younger brother. When I was a child, the rule was if I couldn't play... then nobody could play. Forced togetherness... LOL. But seriously, if one of the boys or all of them are pushing her and picking on her... then they obviously can't play well together... separate them. When the boys see that they can't play if they are being mean to her, they will change their ways. And when you separate them, make sure you don't punish your daughter along with your sons if she didn't instigate the picking on. Let her watch tv or spend time with you when the boys are in time out. Won't take long til they learn to get along with each other.

Hmmm, brothers picking on you, eh? Not fun, huh?

Well, they seem to be ganging up on you. Not fair, I say!
Maybe you can practice this with your Mom first before you try it out on your brothers- practice saying these things:

1) Stop pushing me. I don't like it. Stop it now.
2) Walk away from them. If they follow you, turn around and say
"Get away from me. I don't want you bothering me. You are being mean to me and I don't like it."
3) This always worked with me "Pick on someone your own size." (I was quite small).

If they continued to pick on you, ask Mom and Dad to help you. Maybe they can talk to these boys about their behavior.

They wouldn't like it if someone else - at school or in the neighborhood were picking on you. Why should they be bullies?

Good luck! I'm with you on this one! :)

Well as the mother you should put a stop to it. It shouldn't be up to her to make her brothers stop picking on her.
It's the parents responsibility, not the childs. She can tell on them every single time, and the parents should discipline them for doing it. A family talk on right and wrong, and family values may also help. If none of that works, counseling.

Blackmail them. Don't do it all the time, but i'm sure that you've seen them doing something their not supposed to do. If they are making fun of you just be like "... Oh yeah, and i'm sure that mom and dad would love to hear when you _____..." That should get them to stop. I always have something against my brother just in case. But also, make sure that you're not always around them. Get your own hobbies that they won't take over, like horse back riding, or dancing, or something like that. It will help you a lot and when you're doing that then you won't have to be around them.
Good Luck!!

This doesn't sound like a post that a six year old could or would write. Beside, how is a six year old on this site in the first place?
