go to petfinders.com....this is a site for rescue groups.....just put in your Zip code, and be AMAZED at how many choices you have !!....i adopted a Great Pyrenees mix from them, and my dog Sylvester is great !!....check it out....try it....do a good deed....adopt a dog !!....good luck to you, in your search for a dachshund puppy !!!....most adoption fees can be as low as $50 up to $200, with most being somewhere in between these numbers...these dogs, or puppies, are up to date on all their shots, heart-worm negative, and spayed or neutered, completely up to date, and ready to go home with you !!!!

It depends on if you want your puppy registered or not. My family used to breed and sale dachshunds. We sold registered ones for $150 and unregistered ones for $100. They can be anywhere from $100-$350 depending on the colors you want.

mine cost about 500 ( i have a minature dachshund)
dachshunds bred in germany,dachshund means badger dog in german and they were used to go into badger holes and hunt them.dachshunds are very friendly and make great pets.

Check the AKC then look around. It all depends on age personality and the type of dog.
