In your situation, with no XP disc, live with it! There are some programs out there that will partition your hard drive without destroying your information. Partition Magic is one that comes to mind. But if you are going to spend that much, you might as well go get an XP disc!

If you don't have the WIndows XP disk, or are reluctant to start from SCRATCH, then you will have to BUY a disk utility to update this.
But FIRST, check the disk format type... Open My Computer, then RIGHT CLICK on the C drive and pick PROPERTIES.
It might say FILE SYSTEM: NTFS
or it might say FILE SYSTEM: FAT32
So when you are looking at the specs of the program that you buy, Make sure that it will work with your drive format type.
Look for Partition Magic

I don't think that you can combine the c drive without losing your data. There are programs like Norton Ghost that will backup the image of your hard drive, and it can restore it to a hard drive that isn't the same size.
To combine the E and F drives, If you have windows xp (perhaps 2000 also), you can go to the disk management and span two drives. I've done this before, but I don't think it will let you do that with the boot drive.

The best way to fix this problem is to take it to a good computer shop............. tell them what you want to do. They have to save your data and repartition your drive... they have the software tools to do this........... if you tried to do it.. you could mess up big time.
