How can a nation that has been given its spiritual homeland (Israel )be so heartless?

The jews were given israel by the un and its supposed to bring them closer to there religion yet they have no heart for there neighbours. They have killed more children than hezbullah in this conflict. How can there religion their god be close to them when they are like this. I know this is horrible but i hate them i would visit lebennon if i was given the chance but never ever want to visit israel or america as i find both countrys morally bankrupt.

The ignorance of so many people about this question is depressing. The history of the state of Israel is a shameful one. The UN had no right to GIVE away a land that already existed, infact it was only done so that the US could have a powerful policeman in the region to help safeguard Western oil supplies.

The treatment of the Palestinian people who had lived in the region for generations was and is deplorable. They were forcibly removed from their land and homes and shunted into a squalid desolate corner of their own land. They are now second class citizens in their own country. Far from having no reason to attack Israel the Arab states were defending their own backyard from Western imperialsim. Heres a list of the UN resolutions that Israel has ignored and largely or completely failed to comply with since it's inception -

this is a complex issue and I dont think its fair to characterize Israelis as heartless. The main issue for Israel is that they feel threatened by a terrorist arm of Iran just over their border.

after all.. the president of Iran repeatedly made many many weird and gruesome statements, not believing there ever was a holocaust and practically plannin the next one... go figure..

I think the driving forse behind Israels actions is more in the direction of they relly feal seriously threatened havign a terroist group over the border and we have to remmember... snatching soldiers over a border is in fact a serious act

You've only seen one side of the coin. Look at it from the Israelis side. Your people haven't had a country in 2000 years. All thru history you have been discriminated against and blamed and become victims for Europes ills like witchcraft,the Inquisition,and the Holocaust. The UN did not "give" Israel it's land. In 1948 after Israel was brought into political existence she was immediately attacked by her neighbors.....

Her neighbors have constantly vowed to "erase the mistake of the Jew" from the world scene since time began.

Israel has been invaded and attacked more in it's 60 year history than most countries over a 2000 year history.

When a rocket from Hezbolla lands in Israel and kills Jewish children do think this is OK? If someone hit you would you hit back?

Believe half of what you see and none of what you read. Many of the reports by Hezbullah were false and faked. The pictures were also doctored significantly, and paid mourners employed to win the propoganda war.

Israel is defending itself and its own children. Meanwhile, Hezbullah started the attack on Israel and has launched thousands of rockets into the country. They routinely target Jewish civilians, while the Lebonese people -live- in bunkers, have silos in their houses.

If you're upset at someone, be upset at Hezbullah for using human shields.
