That happened to me for the first time this morning after holding a water bottle for a longer length of time than normal. Cramp is cramp all the body over. As your hands contain muscle then it can have cramp to for the same reasons as you can get it in your calf.

I'm afraid to ask. But generally you can get a cramp in the hand from writting for long periods.. if you run and you hold your hands down word the blood rushes in that direction, swelling the hands especially in excessive heat and can cause cramping... also sitting on your hand or having it twisted in an unusuall fashion can cause cramping as well.

Well ussaly you just go blind or sometimes you grow hair on the palm of your hands. Sorry I might have mispelled a few words but Im blind and have a forest between my fingers!
