You need to use a wormer that has Pyrantel Pamoate as the active ingredient. I should come in a liquid. The pills are something else and are crap. Use Nemex or something good.
You need to give it every 14 days for a total of 4 doses. You probably did not worm correctly the first time.
Then do that twice yearly if the cat goes outside.

If it is tapeworms, the little rice like things, you CAN buy treatment over the counter. It is called Tradewinds, and it is the exact same medication as Droncit. It comes in a bottle of three for cats and the number of tablets to give depends on the weight of the cat. You would also treat for fleas at the same time since that would be the likely source of tapeworms.

FYI....Strongid,Nemex,Nemex 2 ....they ARE ALL pyrantel!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure its roundworm??
We had this problem with our cats and it turned out it was actually tapeworm. Signs of tapeworm are little white wriggly thing around the tail area. These are not worms but infact Tapeworm eggs in a sack which wiggle around for a while then dry up and look something like grains of rice. Mainly seen in cats sleeping areas.

You can get tablets from the vet that treat both round worm and tapeworm in one tablet. NEVER buy over the counter. These often DONT WORK and can actually be Harmfull to your cat. ALWAYS buy ANY medication from a vet.

Would you risk your own health by buying dodgy pills to treat a problem for yourself? Dont do it to the cat either.

Are you sure they are roundworms? If they are short and alive then they are tapeworms and you need to drop by the vet and get some droncit or cestex. You can't buy either over the counter. Roundworms look like spaghetti and are not that common in adult cats. If they pass them or vomit them it means they have a serious case of them. You will need strongidT, nemex, or pyrantel. They are all the same thing just different names. There are other names as well. It's a yellow liquid. Give it then repeat in 2 weeks. Use dosage on bottle since they come in different strengths I can't give you a dosage. Your cat needs to be seen by a vet anyway to get vaccines and to be tested for FELV/FIV.

You want to de-worm your cat, then de-worm again three weeks later. If you just do it once, some of the young worms can basically "hide" in various places in your cats body, then come out in the intestines later. Also be sure to clean the cats litter box and environment regularly. Cats can re-infect themselves through contact with infected feces. If this doesn't seem to work, I would schedule an appointment with your vet to be sure your cat has roundworms and not another type of parasite

you want to discover smarter acquaintances to attraction to close with. You canines want instantaneous vet care. once you should, make charge preparations. in straightforward words the medication the vet will provide her can help you rid her of those worms. that's not that intense priced yet I understand at the same time as money is tight. and also you have to be scared because something intense will happen and besides the shown actuality that she isn't showing it they're hurting her. bypass to the vet and get the medication.

Since so many people are questioning if you know for sure that the worms are round worms...if you have gotten to see one alive, it looks like a freshly cooked ramen noodle, and tends to curl into spirals. As it dies, it looks like a dried up ramen noodle. I am a strong advocate of Revolution. $12.95 per dose, it works wonders, getting rid of worms, preventing heartworms, and keeps fleas and ticks away among other things. You can find it at your vets office.

Main thing to remember is that they need to be dewormed at least twice- usually two to three weeks after the initial dose. See the site below- goes over the medications you can use to deworm.

Drink alot of fluids or just go to the doctor. Do you have it or does your cat? Because that would be weird if it were you when u r on the cat section.

OTC worm meds don't work. You need to go to your vets for the proper meds.
