They usually are priced by their color and how they were raised. You will pay more for a "hand fed" bird. Usually $130-$150.
The multi-colored ones are about the same. If you find them at a Flea Market for $45,,,, pass them up. They usually have their feathers falling off and are in bad shape.

If you want to buy one please go to any Petsmart store or other smaller pet stores.
Also, ask some owners and they will tell you that not even a "Master Card" could afford to pay for it. They become "priceless" as the birds become a part of the family.
For example, I have raised a sixteen year old cat since she was three months old. She is still giving me company and the only one I talk to. Although she responds with her different "meows" she keeps my sanity in "sync." If you ask me how much she costs, I would not even entertain your question.

depends on the coloring.
I got my Pied (grey, black and white)for 75 in 2001 i think and my Latino (all yellow) for 150 a year later.
BUT! I went to a pet store to maybe sell my babies, and the lady sells them for 100 each, but wanted to give me 25 for each! PSSSHHH. I cound't do it. I cound't let them go. So now I have 5 birds :)

The price varies somewhat according to type, but they generally run around $100. Of course their companionship and what you learn about relating with animals is priceless!

I just bought a hand raised one for $120. I have seen them as low as $50 but not hand raised. Some rescue shelters will have them for less.
