I was raised that men don't cry. The last time I cried in public was when my grandmother died, 15 years ago. However, that doesn't mean that men don't cry. About once every couple of months, I'll cry for some reason. I recently cried when I was worried about my girlfriend going on a long trip. I was just worried that something would happen to her, and the thought of that made me cry. I'm 28 years old also, and in the Army. Just sometimes your emotions catch up to you and you cry, not a lot, just a couple of tears, then you feel a lot better.
I'm not ashamed to cry. I was just brought up, when you're in a situation that would permit crying that you have to play the tough supporting role and maintain the order. I know sounds kind of barbaric doesn't it.
