Is it possible to "take a break" from a relationship for a while and eventually get back together? Or is that not realistic? I feel like a break from my relationship might help me figure out a few things, but I don't want to throw it away. If I did decide to try this, is there any chance it won't destroy the relationship if we got back together??

I think that if you say you want a break from the relationship most people don't get back together. Because if you truely like a person you shouldn't need a break from them. Yeah some people do need a break from a relationship to figure some issues out, but I don't that means that you are throwing the relationship away, just taking a breather. If ya'll did get back together I don't thing that it would destroy the relationship, like I said some people just need a break.

My fiancee and I are currently taking a break of sorts, well actually she is since she has run off with another man. Strange that i have no hard feelings eventhough i still love her more than anything else, and would take her back in a heartbeat. Sometimes its good for a break, it allows both people to truly assess their feelings. But keep talking and stay in touch, and take it from their, what ever happens just take it step by step and if its meant to be then it will, and if not then......

it depends on how long you want a break. like a weekend or week or longer. i can see going on a mini vacation for a weekend or week. but any longer i can see the guy not wanting to get back together.

its hard to say. i mean if you are really interested in getting back together and if your bf understands it and will wait for you then i guess yeah.
