Remote Control Terrorism?

Would it be possible for terrorists to hide explosives/liquid ingredients etc. in their luggage and detonate it remotely while sitting in their seats?

Sure, its possible but it seems more feasible to simply use a kitchen timer set for sometime when the aircraft is enroute.
