It has been stated that those of us who believe the universe was created by a flying spaghetti monster are making fun of those who believe in Jesus.

What arrogance to believe your religion is being mocked by someone else's belief.

Your thoughts on this

As a fellow Pastafarian, I am apalled that people would think this! I find it hard to believe that people cannot allow others to worship who (or what) they choose.

I mean, did the Flying Spaghetti Monster walk on water? No, of course not... that'd be ridiculous. Boil in it? Maybe... walk on it? Preposterous.

My personal belief is that Jesus would be apalled at how intolerant some Christians are... Not very Jesus-like.

Now... before you go and criticize someone elses beliefs, ask yourself; What would The Flying Spaghetti Monster do? (or WWTFSMD?) and THEN act.

May you all be touched by his Noodly Appendage.

See how the great prophet of the FSM, Bobby Henderson, founded this religion:
Flying Spaghetti Monster
The following is a quote from the article in Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

"The Flying Spaghetti Monster is a deity of a parody religion founded by computer scientist Bobby Henderson in 2005"

Wow. So the FSM is only about a year old, and was founded as a PARODY RELIGION!!
Parody
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In contemporary usage, a parody is a work that imitates another work in order to ridicule, ironically comment on, or poke affectionate fun at either the work itself, the subject of the work, or another subject (Hutcheon).

Parody exists in all art media, including literature, music, and cinema. Cultural movements can also be parodied. Such works are also sometimes colloquially referred to as spoofs.

After reading the above information, I can only conclude that the FSM is the creation of a man named Bobby Henderson, who was irritated that Kansas had adopted Intelligent Design into the school curriculum. The FSM was intended as a parody of the Christian God.
I am shocked and saddened.......

a flying spaghetti monster is pure unprovable idiocy.
no offense, but the bible says absolutely nothgin about spaghetti, nor a spaghetti god.

the whole thing is nothing more than a mockery of religion and all it stands for.

You claim to be an agnostic, and yet you go off with something like this.
you are nothing more than a Atheist who wants to mock and criticize religion through cleaver ploys and seemingly sensible questions. you think you can act all smart and intelligent, and yet your ridiculous ruse is easily seen through. stop being so ignorant, and stop being so immature and mock full to others ideas and beliefs.

I support your right to worship any religion that doesn't damn me. Frankly, if more people worshiped the Flying Spaghetti Monster, the world would be a better place for all of us. Except for the radical Christians and Muslims, and maybe the radical Jews. Pobre idiots.

Because they were here first, i mean, ahead of you. In other words, the first one to pray is the legit ones and the second ones to do are the mockers.... Arrogance? yes, but that's the deal. Personally, i pray to the sun god, he won't threaten me with eternal damnation and doesn't care if i believe in evolution or not.

Same as the tectonic plates, they'll move and cause earthquakes, caring little of how you believe in evolution, gods or things that go bump in the nite.

The question is inflammatory and mocking in it's nature - you equate Jesus with whatever and you think you are veiling your agenda?
Maybe a tone to genuinely communicate and yes, even genuine respect would facilitate what you pretend to be seeking.
Doesn't speak well for you or what you represent.

I just want to know why the Olive Garden still exists if there is a FSM. That gastro abomination is a clear contradiction to the palatial love of the FSM.

You lie you fool! It was the Invisible Pink Unicorn that created the universe!

Yeah, the whole freaking discussion is stupid.

There is either one God, or their isn't. The details of how you worship are stupid.

BTW I believe there is.

May you be touched by his noodly appendage.

I personally love systems of relgion that require you to be ignorant and have faith in the unknowable. Then you can believe anything you want and simply state that strong faith is all that is required in life, not action, decency, or a sense of personal obligation to your fellow man.
