Highly recommended:
Furore Inn Resort
http://www.travel-hotel-24.com/furore-inn-resort.htm
Furore Inn Resort is set among the rocks between Positano and Amalfi, at the
beginning of Via Dell'Amore, in the Sant'Elia district. In the city, guests can
visit places such as Pompei, Capri, Paestum, Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello
and many others. At the inn, you will find the typical Mediterranean styled
welcoming atmosphere combined with the personalised attention. The resort
provides 22 well appointed guestrooms where light and sea, are reflected in the
predominant colours of blue and white. The restaurant serves cuisines made of
local and traditional ancient recipes. Next to the restaurant, you will find
plenty of space to lie back and relax, a congress hall and a library.

I walked past the Hotel Caruso in April and it looked fantastic. Check out the swimming pool- built right on the edge of the cliff amongst the ruined walls- GORGEOUS! Ravello is very close to the town of Amalfi, and it's not too far from Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii, Capri or Salerno.

I would say to take a look at these sites. I have stayed in a couple of their hotels in Venice and they are really beautiful:
http://www.lhw.com/property.aspx?propertyid=76&sessionid=0
http://www.slh.com/italy/sorrento/hotel_llaita.html
If you are visiting Sorrento these two are my favourites
http://www.exvitt.it/index_english.htm to be in the centre of Sorrento
and
http://www.ghlapace.com/index.php?lng=en&aff=pace to be in a more peaceful setting
enjoy!!!!
