I had a similar problem a few months ago and very nearly went back to the dentist to complain, but it cleared up in about 3 weeks. When I cleaned my teeth my gums bled so that didn't help the healing process.

I have very sensitive teeth, and have been using sensodyne tooth paste for 15 years. They have just came out with a really nice tooth brush. Buy a sensodyne soft brush. Really helps.

I had a similar problem a while back. I found that at night I was clenching my teeth. Try seeing if they hurt the most when you first wake up. If that is the case, try keeping your mouth open or wearing a mouth guard at night.

Same as all the above..... Also, have you tried getting a softer toothbrush. I found that mine was a little harsh, as I got older, and was messing with my gums, and not letting the heal.
