could this be related to a spirit or ghost? does anyone know what it means when you smell burning.

just a floresent bulb starter that burned out. nothing to worry about that happens at school all the time.

Even when not lit wiring is active. get out of the place you are in and ask an electrician to come in a check out the wiring in the building. All too often fires start in buildings on account of old or poor wiring and the burning smell may just be the first indication. Normally the Murphy's Law approach works better than attributing it to the supernatural. They have better things to do.

You could have just psyched yourself out because of the burning smell, and that would explain the eery feelings. If there really is a burning smell, there must be a source. Maybe the electrical wiring needs checked.

I think that this kind of phenomenon has a demonic origin, like hearing voices, UFO's etc.. This things are happening when people have fears, often unconscious. I would recomend you a religious, christian life. Pray to God (John 14:6) and you will not smell anything. Read the book of Serafim Rose-"The ortodoxy and the religion of the future".

There's probably something wrong with the building. Call your fire department and ask them to check up on it. You said "we" so I can't say that you might be hallucinating.
It's a little far-fetched that it would be a spirit or ghost.

hmmm is someone toking a few joints in the restrooms etc?? do you -- live in a state where it mandates no smoking in pubblic restauratns bars etc work place?/ any one there smoke male female , what?? does your company allowe smoking in the buliding?/ i think you may found your mysterious ghost etc, i dont know wre you are llocated at etc, but could it be someone sneaking a joint or a smoke?? or it could be that something is haunting you in your work place etc casperr lightning a joint??

it could be the copy machine or the coffemaker. does it smell like plastic? i hope it isnt a ghost. maybe u shoould try a priest coming and blessing the workplace.

Maybe you are all having strokes...
Might be best to have a professional look into it before the wiring or HVAC catches fire and burns the place down.
or keep thinking it is a "sign" or some **** and blame it on god/satan when it does.

Do you have computers in your workplace? Sometimes they overheat and cause a burning smell. Something may have gotten stuck in thier fans also.
I don't believe in ghosts.....yet....
Still open minded 'bout them though.

Remain skeptical and look for the simplest explanation, but don't shut the door to the possibility that there may be a demon residing there.
