I'm a big fan of Keith Floyd - he always seems to be having so much fun, Nigella Lawson - a very sexy lady, a positive role model and a good laugh to boot, Gordon Ramsay - a sexy, forthright kind of chap, and Hugh Fearnley - Whittingstall - an inspiration in organic cookery and a true British eccentric!

I'm not such a big fan of Jamie Oliver, although I do acknowledge that he's done some good work for schools.

I absolutely LOATHE Ainsley Harriett.

What do you think?

Well, my definate favourite is Nigella Lawson and I've got so into cooking (partly thanks to her book Feast) that my other half has even started calling me Nigella - lol! (Not a bad compliment, considering). I love her laid back style and easy but really tasty ideas, her habit of raiding the fridge at midnight and the cheeky glint in her eye! I also really admire Rick Stein and have a lot of time for his ideas though was a little disappointed by his book, most of the recipes were more complicated than Nigellas. His TV programmes make great veiwing over dinner though and I'd love to invite both of them over for a dinner party, I think it'd be really fun and interesting. I used to like Jamie Oliver for his simple but delicious foods and I've enjoyed his Italian escapades but he does annoy me a bit now, he's put on a bit of weight and lost the naughty boy inside him (perhaps that was the marriage and kids, ouch?!). I now prefer his friend Jimmy and girlfriend Michaela on their farm, have you seen that? I've got two of Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall's books and love reading them but don't often get the chance to eat as much game as he does. I agree, Ainsley Harriett is awful but prize for the worst TV chef has to be Gary Rhodes - I can't watch his programme for more than 30 seconds without getting mega annoyed with him! Delia's boring but I do rely on her for classic favourites and I can't say I've seen much of Keith Floyd, except for some of his very early stuff and I was too busy laughing at the fashion to take notice of what he was cooking. The Two Fat Ladies used to be great, so funny how Jennifer used to cook with her long nails polished like that!

Thanks, good question, I could talk about cooking for days.

Happy eating!

I like all the chef's you mentioned - but I like Ainsley too, when he's not flogging washing up liquid...yeah, like HE does the washing up!

I DO like Jamie though - did you not see his escape to Italy? Fab telly - especially when he was so excited about staying with the monks who had been producing and cooking their own food for generations - and had a legendary herb garden HUNDREDS of years old.....hmmm, you made me think.....DO I like Jamie? Or did I just enjoy watching his little face fall when the truth came out?

Just watched Wozza (Anthony Worrel Thompson) and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it - he is so laid back in his restaurant - even nice to his STAFF (Gordon take note) - BUT if the waiters make a mistake ordering he takes it out of their wages!! Smiling and saying they'll be more careful in future!!!

i exploit a salt pig and that i've got in no way gotten ill from utilising open salt that sits out on the counter. regardless of the certainty that, I somewhat have sufficient good experience to bathe my palms thoroughly after handling uncooked meat/eggs, and so on. probability is the salt bowls the chefs use on television are probable measured out before, and regardless of is leftover they only throw away and don't save for yet another later use. Salt is amazingly low priced (a minimum of interior the U.S. that's) and could not remember in case you "waste" a small little bit of it.

I like Jamie Oliver, but that is due to how he cooks he just seems to throw things together and it seems to work.
I am also impressed with his campaign for school dinners and the message is getting through to the government.
