By way of a bit of background information, I'm fifteen and have been taking Centrum Chewables on a near-daily basis for the past two years. While I haven't yet noted any changes for the worse as regards my health, I can't help but wonder whether I should cease this practice in light of a recent flux of articles/reports suggesting that children (in this case individuals under eighteen) would be better off abstaining from vitamins of any kind (with the exception of those formulated with children in mind). Under "suggested use", the bottle reads in part: "Not formulated for use in children 8 years and younger". This does little to assuage my disquiet. Is there any truth to said reports? Will my health be compromised if I continue to take these supplements? Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on the matter.

Consider the source of the advice. Allopaths do not encourage vitamin use. Very few ever prescribe vits except folic acid for pregnancy. Yet we know vitamin content of the food supply has been falling for decades.
Read "Nutrition and physical Degeneration" by Weston Price
and
"Pottengers Cats" by Frances Pottenger MD.

Then you will be a lot more knowledgable.
Just remember two thirds of the medical schools have no nutritional teaching beyond the "food pyramid" and the Ridiculous Daily Requirements (MDR)which are the supportable deficiency levels before deficiency disease becomes acute. That in itself should speak volumes to you.

You would have to eat the whole container of vitamins each day for it to harm your health.
