That's one of those things that you cannot imagine until it happens. She is still that special person to you, that does not go away no matter how strange and alienated you are left feeling, and however she acts, she will continue to need your strength, love and support, so to answer your question, YOU are her hope.
Hang in there for her!
(And make sure there is someone else to hang in there for you!)
If you are in the UK, contact Rethink, they are brilliant and will support you.

I am very sorry to hear about your daughter's condition - must admit I have not heard of it - will look it up now! It must be very hard for you, and her, all you can do is your best.
There is always hope - I am a Christian and I still believe that, even though my son died, when he was 20 - sorry - you probably don't want to hear that - it was Meningitis. Will stop ramblling on now and look it up!
This site has some good information:

This site has info on the treatment:

ACtually, this site is the best - it offers, advice, help and support, there is a centre you can contact:

Hope this helps and God bless you and your daughter:>)

Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time & I hope things improve for you both. As for hope, YES, this is always hope.
1 - Listen to what the speicalises say.
2 - Take any councelling / support group infomation available
3 - Ensure that any medication is taken.
4 - RESEARCH the condition yourself so you know as much about it as possible
5 - Beaware that there will be some hard as well as good times ahead.
6 - If possible, rely on family & friends as much as possible.

Good Luck

I suffer with mental illness. I can tell you its going to be a hard slog for you both. Ive never heard of that type of schizophrenia maybe you could contact me and we can have a chat about it. The only advice I can give like this is you both must work with the illness and not fight against it. I found this out the hard way. Good luck to you and please feel free to contact me anytime for a chat. xxx

yes there is always hope. i suffer from paranoid schizophrenia and it is controlled by a drug called olanzapine. i go through periods where i dont take it as i feel well but then i get sick again and start hurting myself. the last time i tried to kill myself and it nearly worked. there is always hope for people like us but it takes a long time and you will need to be strong for her.
i hope that this gives you some hope.

there is a website about it.......my little daughter has Rett Syndrome...my heart goes out to you.........greatly......I also have avolition, but only recently did I find out that there is a word for it........medicine is really helping me........I have suffered since childhood with severe mental illness.......I love my daughter so much........but she is neurologically disabled and so I have not the physical or mental strength to care for her....she has to be cared for by others.......that HURTS me eternally, and I can't recover from that hurt....but when I begin to feel guilty.....kind people remind me that I haven't the strength anymore to care for her needs.....while those who care for her DO, and there are dozens of them for one of me.
