No-- my hubby is in retail mgmt, and he said that, according to the ADA, pregnancy has nothing to do with ability to work (in this case). If you have any medical restrictions, get a dr note and give to your super. It's not their business, and they can't do anything to you if they do know, so why tell? It's another thing if your job requires heavy lifting or handling chemicals, in which case you shouldn't take the job anyway. Laws vary depending on company size, but otherwise you are protected by law and the right to confidentiality.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I would definitely tell your boss. Why have you not started your job. Out the gate there already is a flag.Working with children is wonderful. You definitely see Life thru the eyes of a child. You have time to know whats up with you and your child. Enjoy every moment of your pregnancy and then when your baby comes, savor that. Time goes really fast.I would get to getting or that will get away too. One day at a time darlin.Enjoy and God Bless

I would let them know right off. That is something you should of told them from the beginning so they can start now on figuring out what they will do when you take time off.
Information like that is very important. You do not want to lose your job over it.

It would be good to let them know as soon after you start as you can. If there is a 30 days probationary period you might want to tell them after that. They will notice eventually!

Tell your boss right away and also let your doctor know.
Working with little kids might put both you and your baby at risk.

NOW. Would you like it if your (soon-to-be) boss hired you and then told you "We are downsizing (or closing) in 2 months and we will let you go then?"
