I'm making sauteed chicken breasts tomorrow night, and I usually bake them in the oven on a cooking sheet. However, this time I'm using a special sauce that will bake onto the pan. Is it ok to line the pan with foil and THEN cook it?

Non-stick spray doesn't work, it bakes onto the pan, also. (I cook it for 30 minutes.)

For sure you can do that, actually you can buy foil bags that are made for that reason and are very easy to use, less of a mess to clean up later. I have done a whole meal in the one bag, cook the meat first and when it is almost done you can add the potatoes, onions and etc., and you only need the one pan to put it in. Your clean up time is cut real short and so is the items you would normally use for seperate foods. My MOM taught me well and I had to have quick ideas when I was working three jobs at a time. I had to feed myself and my son. You can get various sizes for the foil bags all depends on what you are cooking and how big it is. you can do a whole roast beef dinner this way. Good Luck.

If I'm fixing chicken in the oven I always wrap in foil packets. One of my favorite easy dinners is to take boneless breasts & place in the center of a piece of foil. I cut up potatos, onions & carrots ( toss in mushrooms if you like) & dot w/butter. Take a can of cream of mushroom soup & place about a tablespoon on top of each, then fold closed & bake.....It's yummy & great on a weeknight for a quick dinner.
