Cookie dough is not supposed to be a batter. Its supposed to be thick so you can scoop little dollops from a spoon. Try this recipe the next time., its better for you. I cup peanutbutter, 1 cup sugar and 1 egg. mix all together and spoon it onto a cookie sheet. cook at 350 for about 15 minutes.

Peanut butter cookie batter is very thick and you should be able to scoop it with a spoon. How thin are you trying to make it?
You should have mixed the sugar and egg first before adding any of the dry ingrediants -- did you do that?

you have alot of dry ingrediants here which is why youd batter may not be coming together. however, a cookie dough shouldnt really be a "batter" so you definitely want the dough to be stiff....try adding an extra egg or maybe some cream or milk (but very little...maybe 1/4 cup) until you get it to be the right consistency.

You need to combine the dry ingredients(flour, baking powder, salt,in one bowl and the remaining ingredients in the other, then slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet while mixing. This should help you form the right batter. It will be very thick at the last

it will be thick like cookie dough,no milk,it is ok,it will be stiff ,that is what cookie batter is like not thin like cake batter, when you get done mixing all the ingredients all there is left to do is spoon it onto a cookie sheet and press them down with a fork gently in both directions and bake and then yummy.

it should be a dough, and not a batter. it will be quite stiff. I hope you used shortening, such as crisco, and not vegetable oil. The recipe sounds perfect to me
