Wouldn't it make more sense to find out the actual answer before attacking a religion?

I've seen it at least twice today.

Because some people see Heaven as a private club, and think that somehow by keeping others out, they improve their own chances of getting in.

Other people are insecure, and fear being wrong, so they automatically attack anyone who agrees with them.

Others are flat-out delusional, and believe that they can do anything as long as "God sez it's OK..."

None of us can completely comprehend what God is; all we can do is understand a simple version of his plan, and follow a few simple rules. Even a simple rule like "treat others as you would like to be treated" seems too difficult for us.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states,

+ Non-Catholic Christians +

Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth" are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: "the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements." Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church. All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

+ Judaism +

The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God's revelation in the Old Covenant. To the Jews "belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ"; "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.

+ Islam +

The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day.

+ Other non-Christian religions +

All nations form but one community. This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God. His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city.

+ With love in Christ.

It might have to do with hordes of people who claim to be Muslim or Christian telling everyone else they are going to hell. Maybe I am wrong but I know that is why I personally think that.

Shouldn't you try to stamp out people making false claims on your religion before yelling at others for making a decision based on words and actions actually seen?

maximum non-Muslims would say that for the time of accordance to Islam the respond is certain. Many Muslims would say so to boot. however the main suitable answer isn't inevitably. in accordance to surely Islamic teachings, a man or woman who has been given a real and finished expertise of the fundamentals of Islam and knowingly rejects it, then dies with out repenting, is destined for hell. yet a man or woman who has no longer won a real and finished expertise of the fundamentals of Islam would be examined on Judgment Day. in the event that they disobey God and fail the attempt, then they're going to flow directly to hell. on the different hand, in the event that they obey God and bypass the attempt, they're going to enter Paradise. observe the word "authentic and finished expertise of the fundamentals". it incredibly is proper no longer just to those that lived till now the arriving of Islam and people who've in no way heard of it in any respect, yet in addition to those that would have heard approximately it yet what they discovered became no longer basically right or became no longer adequate information for them to comprehend the muse of the religion or to make a suitable judgment of it. people who've faith in God would be rewarded, in spite of the fact that in the event that they did no longer convert to Islam, as long the reason they did no longer convert is they in no way won a real and finished expertise of the fundamentals of Islam, and as long as they obeyed what did come to them from God. it incredibly is the meaning of here passage from the Quran: surely people who've faith and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabaeans - whoever has faith in God and the final Day and does stable deeds - certainly their reward is with their Lord and that they're going to neither worry nor grieve it incredibly is Surah al-Baqarat verse sixty two, and Surah al-Ma'ida verse sixty 9 is almost same in wording. it incredibly is conservative Saudi student Shaykh Muhammad al-Munajjid saying a similar situation.

Thank you. I'm tired of people bashing religions and knowing nothing about what they are talking about. The reason our world is the way it is is because ignorant people decide to judge other religions without getting the facts beforehand. People need to stop thinking its cool to bash Christians Muslims Jews whatever you are. Its not funny , its ignorant, and you are the cancer of the world.

well generally religious fanatics of most of the major religions feel if you don't believe there exact version of there religion you will burn in hell, I use to have to deal with one at work. He ever said the Dali Lama will burn in hell, lol the Dali Lama is closer to god (if there is one) then my former coworker ever will be. what a nut, but that small numbers of nut jobs in a religion cast a bad view on it.

Every religion is like that.

Christianity: If you're a Christian, you go to Heaven. If you're not, you go to Hell.

Islam: If you're a Muslim, you go to Heaven. If you're not, you go to Hell.

That's how religions are.
