i pulled it out of place
2 yrs ago and pushed it back in
it hurts when i play my guitar or lift things
i never went to a doctor...i wanted to but
my mom wouldnt let me. she says they are
only going to tell me to take asprin or ice it
is she right????

They can do other things, like give you cortisone injections or nerve blockers to help the chronic pain. You could have pinched a nerve when putting your arm back into the socket. Or you could have chipped a bone, which can be surgically repaired. Lots of stuff could have happened. I think you should totally see a doctor (an orthopaedist). It is good to find out if there is a longer-lasting problem that has a solution instead of living with chronic and debilitating pain and wondering "what if?"

Is your dad around? Can you ask him if he will take you to a doctor if your mom won't?

Every time you dislocate a joint in stretches out the tendens and ligament a little more this is why it hurts. This problem can be fixed with surgery to tighten them back up. Although the doctor will probably not want to unless 1 the pain is unbearable or 2 it is a constant reacquiring thing. Do be careful though because you are much more vulnerable to it happening again after the first time.

You need to see a doctor. You may have torn your rotator cuff and that will be to be repaired. Only way to know for sure why it still hurts is to see the doctor.

regardless of what your mom told you you need to see a dr you may have hurt yourself permantly or pulled something out of place. i dont know what it will hurt for you to see the dr. good luck

u should really get that checked out. u could damage it worse than what ur feeling. so i'd really go see a doctor when u get a chance and hopefully soon!

shes partially right, but go and see a doctor anyhow. i dislocated my knee once (dont ask) and was given demerol and rehab
