Well tell him why you lied and tell him your sorry. Then just leave him alone, if he really wants to be friends or w/e he will come to you.

if you think that you honestly will know him in 3 years then yes apologize to him and try to work things out, but even not still apologize and tell him why you lied about your grade and make him see from your point of view, no on e can stay mad forever
