being English I cannot get through a day without a few cuppas' (about 6 to be exact). I get laughed at quite often by my American mates for my 'English habit' as they think it is too gay to drink tea.

What do you think?

Nah...not all Americans...if tea makes you happy, drink it...just when you drink it , don't put your pinlky finger up...if you do, then ....well....that's a sure sign of gayness...

I don't think that way. I know a lot of people that drink tea. It is good for you. If you have a cold and you drink tea with honey it will break up the cold, and it will also ward of colds . Keep on a drinking. You are not gay and don't let anyone sway you when you want to drink any beverage that is good for you. You are very normal. God Bless.

no we do not think drinking tea is gay...but lots of people like to pick and tease just to get a rise out of a person. tea is good for you. I love iced tea and a cup of hot tea with honey and lemon is nice too! I bought some green tea, but I haven't gotten started drinking it. I'll get around to it soon.

I don't know why people would think that. Lots of guys I know drink tea; people in my family, and some of my friends(though, my one friend is really into the English culture). Long story short, nothing wrong with liking tea.

Nah, at least I don't think so. I'm a heterosexual American male and I don't mind drinking tea. That might be because I'm an Anglophile, but I do enjoy a hot cup of Earl Gray. My grandmother introduced it to me when I was little and I've been drinking it ever since.

I'm American, and I drink tea. Every day I go down to Boston Harbor and scoop out a cup ... (just kidding)

Actually, I drink herbal tea in the evenings to relax. With my Dad being from Colombia, I ended up drinking coffee. (watfo)

not all Americans think a man is gay for enjoying a cup of tea. My husband likes a hot cup of tea as much as a woman does, so what's the big deal? You like what you like!

What the heck is the big difference between tea and coffee? I love tea, have been drinking it since I was a young child. Can't stand coffee. I have gotten my boyfriend into drinking tea too, since I refuse to brew coffee and he's too lazy to brew his own.

It's just a dumb North American stereotype.

Most Americans don't drink tea at all, with the exception of iced tea. Those of us who do drink (non-iced) tea, whether male or female, are generally considered a bit odd.
