This is only an opinion he has expressed and even he makes clear that he has no evidence for it. Read the article again.
The Muslims all over the world have believed for centuries that one day a new leader (not a prophet) will appear and sort things out. Believe it or not, Jesus will cooperate with him - so it is unlikely that he, or the Iranians, will unleash a nuclear holocaust. More likely to be an irrational over-armed state with a persecution mania that has already got nuclear weapons.

Its possible. I think there are elements in Iran and other Muslim countries who want to establish an Islamic caliphate from the Pacific to the Atlantic. When Israel falls, Europe is next.
