You are assuming that happiness is simply the absence of pain or sorrow. It isnt.
You cannot feel happiness without sorrow.
Actually I would never take a pill to live forever. i would get bored and tired of life. To not feel pain would mean i could have friends or family because when they die it would hurt me.
Eternal life would be too boring for me. I'd rather enjoy this life and die knowing i did.

A pill that would allow us to continue living in a world we know exists. To continue living an existance we know and all believe in, as opposed to an "answer to life" that allows us to live a supposed existance after we die and pass on from our current existance?

There's a big difference here. The first one would allow us to continue living in an existance to which we know and can feel and relate to.

Not even the pope knows what the existance after life is like.

OK, you have an interesting metaphor there, but it just doesn't work. Why would anyone want to live forever on this sinful and pain-ridden world? The thing about Jesus is that he will take us to be in Paradise- Heaven, forever, rather that living on earth forever. BIG difference.

LIVE FOREVER...THAT WOULD BE HELL. Life would get boring...I would be trapped with people for the rest of eternity..oh please Jesus protect me from your followers.

Also Jesus never offered a pill or whatever for eternal life on Earth...it was said would have eternal life in the afterlife in heaven...so you are comparing immortal life on world we can touch, taste, smell, hear and see to a immortal life in a theortical world no one is 100% honestly sure exists.

i'd turn it down.

imagine living for hundreds or years. I'd be bored to death, seeing the same things, doing the same tinhgs, over & over & over. remeber histroy repeats itself. the name changes but the story stays the same
