They will enter Heaven if they did good deeds, and followed the book which came to that time. It is said in Qur'an that pious Jews & Christians would not have to worry, they will enter Heaven. It means people of Judaism & Christianity, who existed before Islam, will have God's mercy if they followed the truth and didn't fall apart from their religion.

The Quran actually states that everyone will be judged according to their own deeds. People that have come after the revelation of the Quran and other books have it easier than those that came before revelations because they can open up the Quran and read how to live thier lives.

Everyone has a conscious that tells them what they ought to do, thats why Muslims beleive that everyone will be judged according to his or her situation.

On the other hand, some Muslims (who beleive in Hadiths) beleive that just because they call themselves Muslims, they will all be "saved" by Muhammad intercessing for them on the Day of Judgement. This however contradicts the Quran in 2:80.

Thank you for bringing this up, and let me give you some Islamic facts
- God says"There was a prophet for every group of people" this is a fact since Adam and Eve landed on earth.

- Those follow God religion are in heaven and those deny it are in hell.

- There is only one religion since Mankind appeared, but there are many versions and people are ought to follow the most recent one.

- Be aware that Islam includes many of the rules of Judism and Christianity, but Islam is much less restricted than Judism and Christinity. That supports what I said earlier.

So there is one religion that has been there all the time, and Quran is only the last updated version.

Simply, everyone who did beneficent will win the paradise, and everyone who did evil will go to the hell.
beneficent in Islam is honesty, tolerance, excellence, and generosity, in addition to believing in prophets.

In Islam you must believe in Christ (as a prophet but not as a son of the god)and his mother(the virgin).

evil is killing innocent people, cheating, stealing, bribing...
everyone who do the first (beneficent) and leave the second (evil) will win the paradise even if he/she was dead before Islam.
