I currently have Windows 2000 installed on my computer. Is there any way to "downgrade" it to Windows 98? I want to install XP and in order to do that, my computer must be 98. I do not mind if the files are erased, I have them all backed up. I could erase the whole disc if that was the case. Help please. And if this is possible, where could I buy a Windows 98 CD?

Why not just buy a full copy of XP and install on a clean drive? As long as your files are already backed up, just format your hard drive to wipe everything out, then install XP.

As far as Win98, ask around. Someone may have a copy laying around they are not using. Personally, I have about 5 of them someplace in this disaster of an office.

there r two options
1) u cn format ur drive n directly install XP
2) u cn upgrade ur windows 2000 to XP.
it is not neccesary to remove 2000 or to install 98 before installing XP

whilst your laptop boots up, you need to be able to "stress Boot" utilising a disk. as quickly as there, follow the learning, and at last you would be asked regardless of in case you desire to format the not hardship-free stress. in simple terms elect specific, and your not hardship-free stress would be wiped of each and every thing. I repeat: E V E R Y T H I N G. so it rather is important to save your records, photos, and so on. to a flash stress till now dealing with this installation. desire this facilitates. P.S. Steam account could be siiick hahahahahaha
