If you hjave been going to the salon to ge tyour hair dyed Iw ould continue doing that. reason being is that the sometime the metals or the ingredients in boxed dyes are a little different than what is used in the salons and a chemical relaction can take place.. If you really want to go to a boxed hair dye, I would talk to someone at a salon fist who has dyed your hair. She/he may be able to give you a better opinion and one that will in be a good experience for you.

I've been doing my own for years. I am not bald and have yet to succumb to brain cancer.

Tips: Wear old clothes...make sure it's a button shirt, not something you have to pull over your head to get off.
Start at the roots and end at the tips. It doesn't need to be on the ends of your hair as long, since that part is the driest, and oldest.

Watch for spills, it makes bathroom throw rugs look really bad!

Good luck. I hope it turns out the way you want it.

please try to follow all directions to the exact specification on the container. Have a timer handy, make sure you don't leave it in your hair longer than 20 minutes, even natural products can cause a reaction. do a strand test for 10 minutes in an inconspicuous spot and for Gosh sakes don't scrub it into your scalp as you would a shampoo when you put it in wait until you remove it then add a little water at a time while in shower as you build to a lather and TOTALLY RINSE THOROGHLY AND FOLLOW WITH THE CONDITIONER AND CONDITIONER INSTRUCTIONS

great! just be careful. Dye's can be very harmful if you not sure what is going on. Just be sure you use a good shampoo and conditioner for breakage, damage. Don't forget to use a good leave in conditioner.

Good Luck

Go get your color from a beuaty supply store and they will help you. Stay away from ash blondes or any blonde shade or brown shade that has green or ash in it.

i've dyed my hair black blonde red -practically everything myself and it still looked good. just make sure you get by your ears and in the back of your head. dont rub into your scalp and make sure to get your roots 1st.
