Of course everyone is going to say their own state is the best, and so am I. NY state is the best particularly upstate NY. If your kids go to college here they will be bumped to the top of any list in the country due to the excellent schooling they recieved here. I know I put 2 kids through college here. Raising "good" kids is up to YOU as a parent. Keeping your kids involved in sports and scouting, any activitie that tires them out so they don't get bored and get into trouble. That is the key to raising good kids. My kids went to a group that mixed "good" kids in with "troubled "youth and by the end of the summer they were ALL working together for a common goal. Kids are NOT good or bad its how they are raised. Your interaction with them and also how you live yourself. If you have questionsa bout schools go to the look at the Schools report cards and see how they rank in the country, but NY is a great place to grow up.
