How to learn the GIMP2?

So I've got the gimp program, but it's not good enough. I want to start making some pretty cool stuff. Only problem is, I have no idea what I'm doing. Anybody know of a good tutorial for 'dummies'? Thanks in advance!

All graphics programs and image editing software require some level of learning and experimentation.

Try googling "GIMP Tutorial".

Here is a list of other programs that are also free that you might want to check out. Please take note that the third one down, is GimpShop ... which is gimp but with a Photoshop style interface, you may like it better.
