The exact same way you have always treated him/her.

I would treat this person no differently than I have in the past, because ur friend is gonna need all the support they can get fm friends, family and etc. This person hasn't changed just because they have AIDS there still the same person. U don't have 2 worry about being around ur friend like people make it sound. People make it sound bad cuz there ignorant 2 the situation and people only hear what they think they only need 2 hear if they done research on it they would understand their people just like we r.

The same as before. But you will need to take precautions if they happened to cut themself or need some type of medical attention and you're around to assist or aid them. And that would be with anyone. I keep a fresh set of those gloves in my car and at home in the event someone needs medical attention. I would want to help, but also be mindful of taking care of myself.

Well I don't think that he or she ment to get AIDS. Them having this condition does not change who they are or their friendship with you. The only thing that I could see that would/should change is to not touch any body fluids withough gloves on. If they are bleeding, make sure not to get blood on exposed skin.
Other than that, they are still your friend and they probably need you more than ever now to get thru this.

I would treat them the same, but be aware that they will be having some hard times and I would be there to support them. At the same time, I would always remember they have a contagious, deadly disease and be careful not to get any blood on myself from their cut or wound.

I would be compassionate and make sure that I use common sense when I am around them. Like keeping my hands washed, protecting any wounds that I might have, making sure that I am not in a situation where I could trasfere bodily fluids. Just simple everyday common sense that everyone uses to protect themselves from the flu or from colds. Besides that it wouldn't bother me one bit. They are the same person. They are just having to learn to be more careful with what they do in life to protect not only themselves from illnesses but to keep from giving it to someone else.

I would do my best to stand by their side and be the best friend that I could be for them. They trust and believe in your friendship so you should do the same. Treat them the way you want to be treated, after all. What would you do if it was you.

• Continue being friends.
• Be supportive. Help him/her when requested.
• Do not be over protective.
• Get yourself checked up for the retrovirus (HIV).
• Body fluids, blood and blood products, intimate contacts, deep kisses, sharing of razor blades and tooth brushes should be avoided. Take adequate precautions, without being obsessive about it.
• Render your emotional support and encourage compliance of the doctor’s advice.
