Of course, weight matters, but it seems like you have a healthy lifestyle. Muscle weighs way more than fat, so if you feel like you're heavier than someone the same height as you, it might be because you have more muscle than them. BMI that's calculated by dividing your height an weight isn't accurate; in order to more accurately calculate your body fat, you should use a specialized scale that asks for your height and age, then runs electrons through your body to test body fat. The term "overweight" or "fat" is wrongly used in society. Someone can be tall and skinny and waif, but if they have an unhealthy lifestyle, they can have more body fat than someone who seems to be fatter than them but has an active lifestyle. Therefore, the skinnier person would thus be "fatter" than the bigger person. Skinny and lean are different. If ssomeone is skinny, they may be full of fat, while someone who is lean is toned and has a low body fat.
Since you are active, and lift weights, I wouldn't say you're overweight, because most of your weight might be from the muscle you're building. It's healthy, so keep up the great lifestyle!
P.S. If you're still not satisfied, try asking your school nurse for a body fat test.

Well, I'm 17, 6'0 and 190 IBS and lift weights everyday... I know I'm heavy but that doesn't mean I'm fat... I still have a 30 inch waist line... so no, you are not overweight... especally if you can walk 5 miles a day... most overweight people can only walk 1 mile a day or something like that...

Absolutely you are. I am 5'8" and I way 155 and I have an 8% bmi. BMI is the percentage of your body weight that is fat. Yours would be equal or lower to that. Relax man, you're in an excellent position and definately not overweight.
Doing Cardio like that and weight training is very good for you and will contribute to a long and healthy life. My suggestion is to focus on your dietary needs too. Drink tons of water. Eat smaller meals more often and keep them balanced. And try to cut snacking as well.
You are definately not overweight.

easily, it may count number on your physique composition. in case you have greater fat than different needed tissues (i.e. lean muscle, bone mass etc) then you definitely could be seen reasonably obese. yet judging by utilising what you have written down, you sound positive to me. Im your top, and that i weigh one hundred forty. ive been informed that im skinny, so your in all probability everyday. no concerns.
